Helping Hands Kenya Ministry (HHIM) a 501 (c)3 non-profit was founded in 2005. They are a volunteer organization dedicated to feeding hungry children, orphans and elderly care givers in the villages, which surround Nairobi.
These villagers do not qualify for governmental or other charitable resources because they still own the 1/4 acre of familial land granted during the 19th century to the tribes.
Nonetheless, the drought, HIV/Aids and other diseases have ravaged them gravely. HHIM distributes food to the poorest of the poor in the hopes of keeping them alive until the young can obtain an education or trade.
