Description
Since 1985, Hearts Adaptive has provided therapeutic equine-assisted therapy to disabled children and adults in the greater Santa Barbara area.
Equine therapy has proven beneficial for people of all ages who have experienced or been diagnosed with stroke recovery, Alzheimers Disease, Down Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Post-Polio Syndrome, Autism, Spiina Bifida, brain injuries, cancer, developmental delay, spinal cord injuries, and visual and hearing impairments, among others.
Using the movement of specially chosen horses or ponies, specific exercises create a form of therapy that cannot be duplicated by any piece of equipment.
