Description
Hearts of Gold was founded in December 2001. Our mission is to provide assistance to people living in Algonquin and Lake In The Hills, IL. Since 2001 we have assisted 350 families and 600 children in Algonquin & Lake In The Hills.
We were founded because we saw a need to help people living in our own community.
Assistance is generally given in the form of food, or food gift cards, new clothing or school supplies.
Although we provide assistance year round, we have 2 main projects:
"School For Tools" which is a back to school project held in August. We provide the basic school supplies to those in need; pens, paper, notebooks, backpacks.
Our 2nd project is our holiday project "Heart to Heart". We provide new clothing, food, toys and even a Christmas tree.
