Description
Hearts & Hammers provides free exterior home-rehabilitation services to elderly and disabled homeowners who can no longer physically or financially manage the upkeep of their homes on their own. Since its founding in 1997, this outstanding organization has assisted more than 300 homeowners in the Twin Cities and is supported almost entirely by volunteers from local businesses, community organizations, and churches. The number of volunteers joining Hearts & Hammers' ranks grows every year: in 2012, with the help and support of an expected 1,000 volunteers, Hearts & Hammers anticipates being able to transform the lives of 50 deserving homeowners.
