Heartland Lab Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, all volunteer organization whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving forever homes for Labrador retrievers that have been neglected, abused or are just unwanted. Our volunteer base is in Oklahoma City, but serve Labrador rescue needs throughout the State of Oklahoma and surrounding areas.
While in our care, dogs are treated as though they are our own, getting all of the necessary attention both from a family as well as medically. All dogs are spayed or neutered and placed in a foster home as soon as possible to evaluate the dogs temperament as well as what type of home the dog would best be suited for. Many of our dogs are rescued from desparate situations and need a lot of medical care to include treatment for heartworms, cancer, kennel cough, various other types of worms and just weak conditions.
