Description
HealthConnect One is a nonprofit training and technical assistance organization that works with direct service agencies to promote maternal and child health, using innovative, community-based approaches. Since 1986, we have trained thousands of parents, community health workers and direct service staff to promote successful breastfeeding, healthy births, and strong families. We also work with health and social service organizations to develop new programs that use community health workers to decrease health disparities and affect positive health outcomes. We continue to do breastfeeding training in Illinois and other states for breastfeeding peer counselors and for hospitals working towards a Baby-Friendly designation; and we are incubating a local community health worker network in Chicago.
