Description

Health Students Taking Action Together, Inc (HealthSTAT) is a Georgia non-profit run by health professional students. HealthSTAT has a unique and vital mission to create a statewide community of health professional students and engage them in education, activism, and service. By mobilizing students to take action on health issues confronting Georgia, we foster a civic ethic in future leaders that will benefit our state for years to come.

HealthSTAT fills the gap in health professional education by linking service with public policy and mobilizes students around three health related issues of widespread concern in Georgia: Health Disparities and Access to Care, Childhood Obesity Prevention Initiative, HIV/AIDS Prevention and Policy.
