Started in 1990, Health People is a groundbreaking peer training, prevention, and support program in the poorest district of New York City, The South Bronx. Using its peer education model, Health People now has groundbreaking AIDS, Asthma, Diabetes and Heart Disease Prevention, and Smoking Cessation education projects that reach and empower the people and families who most need help.
