Description

HERG Inc. is a non-profit organization established in the year 2000 that began with a mission to promote and deliver healthcare to the uninhabitable communities. HERG organizes 2-3 medical mission trips each year. These mission trips usually take place in March, August and December of each year and last approximately 7 days. These trips are made possible by a team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, other health professionals and students who dedicate their time to serving others in need of medical care. In an attempt to reach the sections of the population least likely to have access to health care, HERG provides healthcare to as little as 100 patients a day who do not normally receive adequate medical care. As a team, we are able to provide care through makeshift, temporary clinics, treating patients with various conditions from malaria to minor scrapes and wounds. All medical services, including medications, are provided at no cost to the patients.
