"Healing Hope Cat Sanctuary is a haven for Special Needs and Unadoptable Felines.
They take in cats that no one else would have: Those with chronic medical conditons, personality issues and some feral cats. Many of their cats come from the local shelter where due to the above problems would be deemed "not adoptable" and euthanized Some of the felines come from the 20 years of rescue work with stray and feral cats done by Kim Rockshaw, founder and president of HHCS.
In addition, HHCS is committed to working in the community to reduce cat over-population by pulling stray and feral cats off the streets. Often HHCS is the last resort for residents, when other rescue groups and even the city shelters fail to act.
HHCS also has taken in cats rescued by others, but due to medical problems, needed to be relinquished.
Due to the training and profession of Ms. Rockshaw, as a homeopath and naturopath, the 40 (+) cats are provided quality
of life care using both allopathic and holistic medicine.
