Description

Harvest House strives to strengthen the body & soul of our community by fostering moral values in a culturally sensitive atmosphere that promotes dignity & spirituality. This is done through the efforts of a Retreat Center, Baby & Children’s Ministry, Education Center, & Medical Clinic. Harvest House was founded by Gary & Linda Tatu, who sold their belongings in order to purchase & renovate a derelict church in South Buffalo, NY. The Retreat Center provides space for spiritual functions in a beautiful church on Seneca Street. The Baby & Children’s Ministry provides clothing & small furniture items to 5,500 children annually, free of charge. The Education Center provides GED, pre-collegiate, & medical courses. It also houses “Ask The Lawyer,” free weekly legal advice. In the summer months, the mobile market also provides fresh fruits and vegetables from the Massachusetts Avenue project. The Medical Clinic provides free Primary, Chiropractic, Dental, Mental Health, & Vision Care.
