Description
Hart Community Homes was founded in 1996 to assist Orange County youth who are placed in the foster care system. We operate two state-licensed residential treatment homes in Orange, CA for boys ages 13-18. Our youth have a background of abuse, parental alcoholism and drug addiction, family mental illness, neglect and abandonment. The mission of Hart Community Homes is to heal, educate and empower these youth to become healthy, productive and self-sufficient adults in the community.
In 2003, Hart Community Homes created Monkey Business Café, a 501c3 non-profit social enterprise. Monkey Business Café operates a 6 month paid Workforce Development Program for foster and at-risk youth in the community where participants work one-on-one with a job coach to foster a pathway to success that includes work experience, employability skills and living skills. All proceeds from the café benefit the programs of Hart Community Homes.
