Description
The Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1931 giving its first performance at William Penn High School on March 19th. The first season, 1931-1932, included just four concerts.
Now in its 81st season, the 2010-11 season includes seven Masterworks concerts, four Capital BlueCross Pops concerts, and several special events.
Performing in the same venue, The Forum in Harrisburg, for the past 81 years, the HSO has continued to live up to its promise of bringing moving performances of classical and pops instrumental music to the Greater Harrisburg Area
