Description
Head Start is a Federally-funded program providing comprehensive services in the areas of health, education, nutrition, social services, and parent involvement to low-income children and their families. Since its inception over 42 years ago, Head Start has provided services to over 17 million low-income preschoolers and their families nationwide. The Head Start program in Pulaski County currently is funded to provide services to 1,090 preschoolers. The Harris Head Start Center provides services to 37 children and their families in the surrounding area. We are continuing our efforts to involve the community in the support and operation of the Head Start program and to continue to provide services to our children and families.
