Description
Harmonikids is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides music therapy to special needs children worldwide. Since 1985 Harmonikids has been actively providing the therapeutic healing power of teaching music to kids with incredible physical and emotional challenges. Missions have included those traumatized by such natural disasters as the tsunami in Indonesia, Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, and the recent earthquake in devastated Haiti – and thousands of children in special needs facilities globally. . In addition to the post-traumatic stress relieving benefits, Harmonikids programs effectively replenish self-esteem, confidence, hope, and joy into children’s lives. Harmonikids provides the joy of music with harmonicas and songs to nurture their spirits and help them return to being children again.
