501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of ill, injured, disabled and special-needs cats. We specialize in cats with disabilites, often receiving cats from all over the country, sparing them from euthanasia and giving them the chance at a safe, healthy life. We are involved in education and grateful for student volunteers of all ages who complete their school projects here. Our shelter is cage-free, with rooms designed and theme-decorated with the cats' comfort and security foremost in mind. Our sign outside the front door states, "Enter With a Happy Heart," applying to cats and humans, alike. As one 10-year-old volunteer stated, "These cats don't have disabilities, just different abilities." Our goal is to help our cat residents and teach people of all ages tolerance and acceptance of those who are different from ourselves.
