Description

Halfway Home Rescue Inc., is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of abused, abandoned and homeless animals. Our organization is staffed 100% by volunteers who rescue and find new homes for hundreds of animals each year. We provide spay/neuter and other veterinary care to each animal who passes through our doors. Our phones ring 24/7 and we try our best to keep up with the calls, as space and finances allow.

In November 2008, we began a partnership with PetSmart and now occupy the Adoption Center in the North Haven, CT store. This partnership has really helped to increase our adoptions and promote Halfway Home Rescue. Our adoption center is open Saturdays & Sundays from 11-2 and weekdays by flexible appointment.

We do not have an actual shelter building, so in addition to PetSmart, we work out of foster homes, where volunteers house kittens and puppies until they are old enough for adoption, and also rehab animals post surgery.
