Hair Fairy Project

The Hair Fairy Project, Inc., is an Indiana non-profit working to bring hope, encouragement, humor and insight to children, teens and young adults living with cancer. The Hair Fairy Project, Inc. was established in 2005 by Indiana resident and author of H is for Hair Fairy, Kim Martin, in memory of her son, Nolan (1985-1993), who went through cancer twice before the age of eight, and in honor of her teenage daughter Andrea, a cancer survivor, who underwent treatment for bone cancer in 2003-4 and again in 2007. The Hair Fairy is like the Tooth Fairy and comes on the day children lose their hair from chemotherapy and puts money under their pillows.
