Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County and Greater Apopka works in partnership with God to build safe, decent and affordable homes for low income families. The "American Dream" of homeownership becomes a reality for families in need through the work of Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County and Greater Apopka. Since 1991, Habitat Seminole Apopka has housed over 120 families in simple, decent and affordable homes.
Partner families are selected based on 3 criteria; Need, Ability to Pay, and Willingness to Partner. The homeowners invest hundreds of "Sweat Equity" hours working in construction and in our Re-Store, as well as attending homeowner classes.
Each partner family repays a 30-year no interest mortgage for their home. Habitat Seminole Apopka prides itself on being a hand up for our families and not a handout.
