Description

Sea Island Habitat for Humanity is the third oldest Habitat affiliate and the first in the state of South Carolina. Sea Island Habitat is located on Johns Island, SC, just south of Charleston.

To date, SIHH has helped move more than 200 families out of poverty housing into new, safe, decent and affordable homes!

SIHH is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry, open to all. Homeowners must complete 500 hours of "sweat equity" and pay a no-profit, no-interest, 20-year mortgage. Habitat works because it is not a hand out, it is a hand up!
