Oahe Habitat for Humanity OHFH) is located in Pierre, South Dakota. It is the mission of OHFH to work in partnership with families in need of affordable and decent housing. OHFH serves the Hughes, Sully, and Stanley counties and it builds houses for those in need of a hand up, not a hand out. OHFH is a nonecumenical Christian organization. It is our long term goal to end homelessness and substandard, poverty housing. OHFH follows a nondiscrimination policy in its family selection process and partner families put in a minimum of 500 sweat hours in the process. When the home is completed, the partner family purchases the home at no profit with a zero interest loan. The loan payments help build more houses for those in need of safe, affordable and decent housing.
