Description
IVHFH is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a housing organization created to provide simple, decent, quality housing for low-income working families throughout the world. Since 1994, Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity has built, in partnership with and alongside of the families themselves, 44 homes in Johnson, Cedar, and Iowa counties in southeast Iowa.
Our Habitat affiliate also has the distinction of having "tithed" the largest amount of money from any Habitat affiliate in Iowa. We have been committed to donating 10% of all money raised to Habitat International to help build homes overseas. For every home we construct locally, we build an additional 1-3 homes overseas!
