Description
Builds homes in Bennington County, Vermont in partnership with families in need. It is an affiliate of Habitat International - an organization that has affiliates throughout the Unites States and in over 100 countries. It is an all volunteer organization and is solely responsible for enlisting volunteers and for raising all funds it needs to build homes. When a home is completed, it is sold to the family at cost - with nothing added for the value of volunteer labor. Families pay no more than 30% of their annual income for mortgage, home insurance and property taxes. Mortgage payments in turn are used to build more homes.
