Description
The Gulf Coast Symphony’s mission is one of education. The Gulf Coast Symphony provides an opportunity for area non-professional musicians to participate in the orchestral experience at the very highest levels. The orchestra encourages the growth of symphonic music in the greater community by performing a variety of concerts each year, including classical, pops and family education concerts. The Gulf Coast Symphony helps promote the careers of emerging artists by featuring them as soloists at our concerts and in recital. These same artists then participate in the Symphony’s education program, Musical Gateway, which reaches into the local school system as well as the general community. At the same time, the Gulf Coast Symphony collaborates with other not-for-profit organizations, such as VSA for the Arts, to help build general arts awareness, new audiences, and develop future performers.
