Description
The Guardianship Program of Dade County, Inc., (GPDC) is the oldest and largest public guardianship program in the State of Florida and in the country. GPDC began offering guardianship services to the Probate Court of Miami-Dade County in 1980. In 1990, the agency was appointed as the official public guardian for Miami-Dade County for indigent adults, who are adjudicated incapacitated and have no one willing, able, or qualified to act on their behalf. Our public guardianship program was established to ensure that indigence does not deprive any person of quality care. Guardianship Program of Dade County, Inc. is regulated and monitored by the Statewide Public Guardianship Office, who oversees all public and professional guardians in the State of Florida.
