Description
Groundwork Opportunities' (GO for short) mission is
to create a world beyond poverty by investing in groundbreaking ideas, empowering local leaders, and engaging communities.
We envision a world in which every human being has access to clean water, healthy food, basic education, affordable health care, and a home to live in. A world where every person rich or poor has the power to create opportunities for themselves and for others.
GO’s purpose is to identify and partner with developing world communities that envision and manage sustainable programs aimed at addressing at fundamental communal issues such as education, health care, and sustainable agriculture. Once partnerships are established, GO provides the community with start-up capital to bring their ideas to fruition, and creates a global support network to scale the impact of their work. In this manner each partner can focus on their core competencies, making development work efficient, while the GO staff leverages volunteers, resources, and partnerships that are abundant in the developed world. Our local partners are thus able to focus on implementing successful programs that enable their communities to build a sustainable livelihood.
