Non-profit origanization providing information, education, support and contract in-home services to Greene County senior citizens and their family caregivers. Caregiver support groups are held throughout the County and two caregiver retreat days a year are offered as well. For those seniors not appropriate for other programs, the Council works with the senior and family to determine what contract services will be of the greatest help to assist the senior to continue living in their own or family member's home. Some of the services include home-delivered meals, emergency response systems, homemaking, personal care, medical transportation and adult daycare. When appropriate, Council staff assists the senior and families with the process for selecting and admission to senior housing, assisted living, nursing home, and even hospice care.
