Green Map System supports inclusive participation in sustainable community development worldwide. The organization incubates new leadership, collaborative organizing, and communications skills while generating Green Maps that make sustainability meaningful to thousands of people in hundreds of places around the world. Each of these locally produced Green Maps highlights the emerging green and low-carbon economies, providing fresh insights and inspiration as they support green jobs. Each project has unique outcomes, but all share Green Map Icons to highlight nature, culture, and green living resources. With nearly 5 million printed maps, an interactive mapping platform, and convenient mobile apps, everyone can take part in creating a greener and healthier future, right in their own community. With over 650 communities and 55 countries involved, our movement is growing stronger every day.
