Greater New Haven Community Chorus

The Greater New Haven Community Chorus is an SATB chorus that welcomes singers of all abilities – from enthusiastic beginners to well-seasoned veterans – drawing its members from the diverse communities of the greater New Haven area and beyond. GNHCC strives to achieve the highest standard of choral music by a non-auditioned chorus, while endeavoring to make choral music accessible to everyone by educating chorus members and audiences alike. The chorus was founded in 1963 by radio station WELI as a venture in community singing and has been self-supporting since 1971. We enjoy lively and instructive rehearsals on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 10 PM in the Center Church Parish House at 311 Temple Street, near the New Haven Green. Current Artistic Director: Noah Blocker-Glynn
