Greater Hartford Arts Council

The Greater Hartford Arts Council is a leader and catalyst for the promotion, fundraising and coordination of arts & heritage programs that celebrate our diverse cultures, enliven the spirit, and enrich the economy of Connecticut’s Capital Region. We provide $2 million each year in grants to 150+ arts and heritage organizations in 34 towns, and connect the public with the arts through another $2 million in umbrella marketing, advocacy, arts education and technical assistance. The Greater Hartford Arts Council was founded in 1971 and is now the largest independent arts council in New England.
