Description
Grateful Greyhounds, Inc., is a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer-run organization helping to rescue and rehabilitate ex-racing greyhounds and place them into loving homes. GG also works on raising awareness on the plight of the racing greyhound, and participates in various community outreach programs. GG serves NYC, Long Island, Westchester/Rockland Counties, and some parts of New Jersey.
Every dog GG rescues is carefully screened to determine its personality and best possible living arrangements. The dog is then fostered with professional greyhound people to help it acclimate to living with humans as well as other animals. All prospective owners are also screened so that the best possible match could be achieved.
