"The Global and Regional Asperger Syndrome Partnership," GRASP, is an educational and advocacy organization that is run BY as well as for adults diagnosed along the autism spectrum (mostly with Asperger Syndrome, but plenty others with autism and PDD). It is the largest organization of adults on the spectrum in the world.
GRASP conducts educational outreach, and conducts advocacy on behalf of its 2700 and growing members. But its true reason for being lies in the growing list of regional support networks thhat are run by local leaders who share the diagnosis with their constituents. As of March, 2007, GRASP has 15 such networks.
GRASP is a fully accredited 501c3 tax-exempt organization that was founded in 2003.
