The Grady McWhiney Research Foundation promotes the mission of history education through its various programs: Texas Frontier Heritage & Cultural Center preserves and presents the history and heritage of the Texas frontier through traditional museum techniques as well as dynamic education offerings; Buffalo Gap Historic Village - an outdooor museum shows the history of West Texas from 1875 - 1925; McWhiney Foundation Press and State House Press publish non-fiction history; The Parsonage Guest House offers a home away from home to our many supporters; the Chautauqua Learning Series entertains and informs the public on a variety of subjects; the McWhiney Collection operates as a closed-stacked library and contains more than 3,500 books of Civil War, Southern, and Scottish-Irish history.
