Description
Grace has served south Evanston and surrounding communities for over 70 years. We are a diverse church, both in age and heritage. Our ministry is about living out our Vision and Core Values. Everyone at Grace is encouraged to carry out that ministry however God calls them to. Those ministries happen all the time - through creative Sunday School, meaningful worship, serving at soup kitchens, caring for those in need, social advocacy, and much more.
Grace provides space for the Samaritan Counseling Center, which offers spiritually-sensitive counseling, and Youth Organizations Umbrella, serving at-risk youth in Evanston.
We are in partnership with 10,956 congregations, 28 Lutheran colleges and universities, 8 seminaries, 450 world-wide missionaries, and Lutheran World Relief, all ministries of the 5.2 million member Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Grace is a Reconciling in Christ congregation.
