Description
The Good Samaritan Boys Ranch is a leader in the State of Missouri in providing treatment to boys who have been abused or neglected from across the state. We are authorized by the State of Missouri to accept boys ages 12 to 18.
Placed by the State of Missouri or Juvenile Courts, more than 100 boys pass through the Ranch every year, staying an average of 12 to 18 months.
The Ranch provides a holistic approach that helps boys develop insights into their own behavior and how their behavior impacts others. A variety of recreational, educational and therapeutic activities are employed including horsemanship, canoeing, camping and backpacking. These activities are designed to challenge each boy in a manner that will build self-worth and life skills.
We also provide various types of therapy, both individual and group which tackle issues such as alcohol and drug abuse and sexual abuse.
