Good Grief’s mission is to provide services & educational programs for children & families coping with loss due to death, divorce, separation, abandonment or other painful life loss. Good Grief builds awareness & influences perceptions about the impact of loss on children & provides adults with the information, tools & wisdom needed to help children cope with loss. GG’s goal is to prevent children from experiencing the negative effects of unresolved grief such as poor performance in school, depression, addiction, suicide & teen pregnancy by educating and training adults how to help children in grief, providing effective direct services to grieving children & families & educating society about the effects of unresolved grief on children & adults. A rigorous, comprehensive and transformative series of workshops to educate & equip adults with the skills, self-awareness, tools and healing presence needed to be companions & mentors in the life of any child coping with everyday loss.
