Description

Golden Care Workforce Institute’s (GCWI) mission is to create entry-level employment opportunities in healthcare for San Diego community members of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

Our highly regarded Golden Hill Health Careers Academy program was founded with the goal of giving individuals most in need in our community the opportunity to pursue a career in the healthcare field and earn a living wage. The Academy trains certified nurse assistants (CNAs) who fill positions in homecare agencies, skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities, physician offices, hospice programs and private homes. The first class graduated in August, 1996 with 11 students completing the program. Today we graduate more than 100 students each year.
