Description

"This fund was established in memory of faculty members Patrick Hartwick, dean of the Donald E. and Helen L. Ross College of Education and Richard Bruno, assistant professor, College of Liberal Education, and students Stephanie Crispinelli, Britney Gengel, Christine Gianacaci and Courtney Hayes. These dedicated professors and students died in the Haitian earthquake while providing service and care to the people of Haiti during the 2010 January term while enrolled in a Dialogues of Innovation course entitled Journey of Hope.
To honor the life and work of these faculty and students, this memorial fund was established in March 2010. This fund will provide monies for students to experience university-designed and -approved educational and service opportunities which focus on communities and cultures in need at the international, national and local levels." --Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL
