Description
Global Action for Children seeks to mobilize the political will, financial resources, and sound policies needed to provide comprehensive support to orphans and other vulnerable children in developing countries. Specifically, GAC is committed to ensuring that all children have access to basic health care, education, food, and social protection, and are able to reach their full potential physically, cognitively, and in terms of their social-emotional development.
GAC’s current priorities are to take action in support of:
1) an expanded, comprehensive response to the crisis of orphans and vulnerable children;
2) accelerating universal basic education;
3) increasing the commitment of the U.S. and other wealthy nations to child well-being
Success in meeting these goals is critical to enabling to children in poor countries to develop to their full potential physically, cognitively, and in terms of their social-emotional development.
