Description
The Glenshire subdivision has a swim club that has been part of the community for more than 30 years. A non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening swimming skills, team spirit, and to building a swimming tradition, the Gators invite residents and non-residents ages 4-18 of age (such age being determined by May 31st of current year) to join the team. The Gators are run by adult volunteers with an elected Board of Directors, affiliated with the Southwest Houston
Recreational Swim League, and funded through registration fees, donations, and fund raising activities. Practice and/or meets run from May through mid-July of each year. A strong emphasis is placed on sportsmanship, safety, and promoting fun through a competitive summer swimming program.
