Description
Since 1998, GirlSource has been providing meaningful employment and leadership opportunities for low-income, high-school-age girls in San Francisco. Our paid job program offers technology training, supplemented by individual guidance to help girls finish high school, go on to college, and launch their careers.
We believe that to truly affect the precarious lives of low-income teenage girls, they must receive continual, personalized support throughout their high school years. Former GirlSource participants have been hired as peer educators, applying their job and leadership skills to help other teens from their own neighborhoods or backgrounds.
