It is the mission of Girls and Boys Town to change the way America cares for her children. Girls and Boys Town of Southern California (GBTSC) has been serving the local needs of children and families in crisis since 1991. As an independent 501(c)(3) organization since 2002, our site has a local board of trustees, and is responsible for independent operations and fundraising. With a staff of 124 and an operating budget of nearly $8 million for 2006, we continue to provide the same quality of care for which Girls and Boys Town has been known since 1917.
Our programs include short-term emergency residential services for children from Los Angeles County, long-term “family-style” residential facilities for children, and family-based counseling and intervention services for families in Orange County whose children are at-risk of being removed from the home.
