Description
We organize a complete pediatric cardiothoracic surgical team and by invitation we go to third world countries and operate on children under 12 who suffer from congenital heart defects.
In addition we teach the art and science of this specialty to cardiovascular surgeons at this hospital. Dr. Russo is a world renowned surgeon in this specialty and Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery, University of Missouri .
8% of all children born in the world are born with a heart defect and normally die by 12 without an open heart operation.
We do not charge any family for the surgery we do.
