Description
As Boston's Host to the Experience Corps program, Generations Incorporated has been providing meaningful partnerships between community residents of various ages for 15 years. We unite older adults and youth in service to strengthen individuals and communities. We do this by bringing experienced older adults into schools and afterschool programs in Dorchester, Roxbury, and South Boston, to provide critical literacy support for students who are struggling to read at grade level. In 2007, we will mobilize 300 older adults to serve more than 3,700 children.
