Description

Founded in 1898, we are a member of GFWC, an international organization dedicated to community improvement through volunteer service. As one of the oldest nonpartisan and nondenominational women’s service organizations in the world, GFWC unites diverse women in a single goal to improve the lives of others.

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs of South Carolina points with pride to more than 1,700 members in 65 clubs around the state who work in six areas of emphasis - Arts, Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Affairs an Public Affairs. Together, SC club members initiate projects which support participation in the arts, promote education, preserve natural resources, stress good citizenship, encourage healthy lifestyles, contribute to world peace and international understanding, and resolve problems unique to their communities.
