General Assembly is the every-two-years gathering of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). This North American body of believers started more than 200 years ago as a people who believed in the unity of the whole church, and in the responsibility of each Christian to work out his or her own relationship with God (faith), "in fear and trembling." This community seeks to be a "movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the One Body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's Table as God has welcomed us."
