Geauga Humane Society is a private, non-profit, [501(c)(3)], animal welfare organization that is supported solely by private donations and grants.

Rescue Village is Geauga Humane Society's shelter, adoption center and center for humane education.

Geauga Humane Society's mission is:
• To shelter and find homes for sick, injured, abused and abandoned domestic animals that have no other alternatives;
• To foster compassion for all living things through education;
• To reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs, and;
• To prevent cruelty by advocating and enforcing animal protection laws.
