Description
Gales Creek Camp is a residential summer camp for children with Type I Diabetes. Located on 37 acres in the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range, GCC has served the Type I community since 1953. Each summer over 440 campers, ages 3 to 17, attend in age-specific camp sessions, our youngest campers attending with parents and siblings in family format sessions.
Gales Creek Camp is a place where children and teens gain confidence in managing their diabetes, while experiencing the activities and camaraderie of summer camp. Perhaps most important of all, Gales Creek Campers learn that diabetes does not prevent them from living active, satisfying lives.
