The Alliance provides free educational programs for adults 16 and older, who have not graduated from high school or whose native language is not English. Services provided include literacy instruction, basic skills, GED preparation, GED testing and English as a Second Language courses. The collaboration between the Alliance and the Adult Learning Center has proven to be very successful and is an asset to our community.
•The Alliance does not receive any state or federal funding and must depend on the generosity of the community to continue to supplement the FREE classes offered to our students at the Adult Learning Center.
•Our programs have served almost 45,000 students, and students have attained 3,623 GEDs.
•Over 60% of our GED students are between the ages of 16-24. They have realized past mistakes and are trying to improve their lives. Many of these students are single mothers.
•The greatest gift you can give a child is a literate parent!
