The Future Leaders Institute Charter School (FLI) in Harlem, NY, believes that strong teaching in a caring environment, combined with an academically rigorous and extended school day, empowers children today to be tomorrow's leaders. FLI has grown into an established, high-performing school and serves 300 students in grades K-8. FLI is one of the few “conversion” charter schools in New York City, having successfully transitioned from a traditional public school into a charter school.
